Bathroom furniture : a few tips to help you choose

Your bathroom is faded and dull and you wish to renovate it by replacing your furniture. To succeed in this project, the main characteristics of the materials in which the various furnishing accessories are made are paramount.

The bathroom, a masterpiece of the home

Each house should be organized and arranged in such a way that you can relax in the best possible way. If you have a space to turn it into a wellness corner, make sure you have the right furniture, accessories and above all, don't hesitate to ask for professional advice. Once you have a project idea in mind, make an estimate of the work to be done. Making your home a small wellness center is not an impossible dream if you identify the potential of the spaces you have. Among them is the bathroom, the place of well-being par excellence, whose furniture deserves special attention without neglecting details (which can often make all the difference!). However, it is not enough to simply choose the right furniture. It is also important to carefully identify all materials, selecting them for their resistance, quality and design. The final result must be a welcoming, perfectly functional bathroom in which you can spend moments of well-being for personal care and hygiene. Never forget that a well-furnished bathroom can give value to your home.

The right materials for the bathroom

When we talk about the bathroom, we must keep in mind that it is made up of a large number of furniture and accessories. This is why, for each category of furniture, it is important to identify the most appropriate materials, of the best manufacturing quality and that resist the wear and tear of time and the damaging action of external agents. Having said that, let's start with the shower, which is undoubtedly one of the fundamental parts, a space of relaxation and well-being for all. However, when designing a shower, a precise limit is set by the space available: for example, if you have a very small bathroom, but you don't want to give up a shower cubicle, you may have to opt for a corner model, which has a smaller footprint. The choice of floor and wall covering is also important. Choose the right tile pattern, the right paint and decorative accessories in wood or stone.

Ceramic tiles

Ceramic is the most used material for the manufacture of shower trays, also because of the possibility of having it with reduced thickness. It is a very good material, resistant, anti-scratch, which tolerates the passage of hot and cold water. Moreover, as far as maintenance is concerned, no particular cleaning operation is necessary. The important thing is to find a good detergent which is a product available in large quantities on the market at a good price.

Acrylic

As for acrylic, it is the most appropriate material when you want to manufacture custom shower trays, with personalized dimensions, according to the specific needs of customers. Don't forget that acrylic can also be cut to find a specific solution for all spaces that don't have a standard size. In addition, the choice of acrylic has many other advantages that can be attributed to its lighter weight, variety of styles, lightness and practicality of use. Acrylic is non-slip and shower trays made of this material have a reduced thickness that allows for a flush installation with the floor.

Resin

Finally, you have the resin which is a resistant material available in different colors and finishes. It also offers great flexibility in terms of size. Often, resin is also offered in decorated versions, which are very pleasing to the eye.
